Flip Cup will be played as a 4-person team event in a single elimination tournament. Here are the official rules for the competition:
1. **Setup:**
- Teams consist of 4 players each.
- Players will fill their cups with 6 oz of their desired drink (it can be water).
- Teams will stand opposite each other on opposite sides of the table.
2. **Starting the Game:**
- On the referee's whistle, the first players from each team will start drinking.
3. **Gameplay:**
- After finishing their drink, players must flip their cup and have it land upside down on the table.
- Once a player successfully flips their cup, the next player on their team can start drinking and then flip their cup.
- This continues sequentially until the 4th player's cup lands upside down on the table.
4. **Winning the Round:**
- The first team to have all 4 players successfully flip their cups wins the round.
- Each game will be a best-of-three format. A team must win 2 rounds to move on to the next stage of the tournament.
5. **Additional Rules:**
- Only one hand may be used for the entirety of the game.
- Players must keep one hand behind their back at all times during the game.
Referee's Decision will be FINAL - if there is a "draw" the round the replayed - failure to follow the rules will result in a round loss
