The Blaise games is a series of popular games. Teams are made up of a minimum of 4 players. There is no maximum number of players per team.
2024 will have some changes, including some games played as 2 player team, some as a 4 player team, some as an individual.
**New Format Highlights:**
This year, we’re making some changes to streamline the event and add a strategic element for team captains. Here’s how it will work:
We will have 10 events:
All events will be played in a single elimination bracket format.
**Player Participation Limit:**
Each player can only participate in a maximum of 5 events. This means that teams will need to plan carefully to determine who will compete in each event.
**Team Planning:**
Points System
We believe these changes will enhance the competitive spirit and efficiency of the Blaise Games, making it an even more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
All single elimination brackets are generated randomly. We will try our best to scatter teams throughout the bracket, but there will be cases where you may play members of your team early on in tournaments.
Teams or individuals will be called to play in an event throughout the day and will also receive a text alert. Teams will have 5 minutes to report to play before a 5 minute warning is announced. If a team has yet to report after the 5 minute warning, that team will forfeit their match.
At the conclusion of all events, points will be tallied. The team with the highest average point total will be crowned champion (total team points divided by the number of team players registered). The Top 3 teams will be recognized, the overall champion will receive the Blaise Cup.
In the event of a tie for 1st place, the team with the most event wins will be crowned champion. If still tied, a team game of Sudden Death Giant Pong will be played to determine the overall winner. This game of Giant Pong will include all members of your team alternating turns.
The top 3 Individuals with the most points will be recognized and Tournament Individual Champion will receive the Blaise Games Champion Belt
Absolutely no fighting or arguing will be tolerated. Anyone who argues or fights will be immediately asked to leave and will be banned from all future events.
ALL GAME RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED
IF A GAME IS FOUND TO BE PLAYED BY THEIR OWN RULES, BOTH TEAMS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THAT EVENT AND RECEIVE 0 POINTS FOR THAT EVENT - EXAMPLE: PLAYING CORNHOLE NOT ACROSS FROM PARTNER, NOT TAKING PROPER TURNS IN LADDERBALL, ROLLORS, PUTTING FROM WRONG SPOT IN BATTLEPUTT, ETC.
