Rollors will be played as an individual event. This event will be a single elimination tournament.
Rollers combines some of the best features from classic outdoor games including Bocce Ball, Horseshoes and Lawn Bowling. The object of the game is to get your team`s Rollor disk closest to the goal.
Goals are setup 25’ apart.
**NEW FOR 2024** A 3’ scoring circle will be drawn around each goal. Both players will stand behind the same goal for each round
Coin Flip – Choose a rollor and flip like a coin. Play that wins the coin toss will choose be the BLUE team and will shoot first in the first round.
To begin, Player 1 will roll all 3 rollors. Then Player 2 will roll their 3 rollors.
Players must remain behind their goal when rolling. Discs must be rolled, and touch the ground within their goal’s circle to be a legal roll. Discs can not be thrown like a frisbee or thrown into the air.
Once all 6 Rollors are rolled the round is over. Players walk to the other goal, point are tallied, then discs we be rolled back to other goal.
Only 1 player can score points each round. The player with the disc closest to the goal wins the round and receives points. All discs of the winning player that are within the 3’ circle are counted. The rollor has to be touching the 3’ circle line to score. If a rollor falls on it’s side, the number that is showing is the number of points awarded. If a rollor stops on it’s edge, the sum of both sides is awarded. If a rollor is touching the goal, double points of the number showing are awarded. If no discs are within the 3’ circle or there is a tie and 2 discs are the same distance from the goal, no points are awarded and the game continues.
The player that won the previous round will throw first in the next round, throwing all 3 of their rollors, then the other player will roll their 3 rollors. The game continues in this fashion until a player reaches 21 points or more and wins by 2.
